Maxton's racecar room!

I recently took a trip down to San Diego with Karafina for her nephew Maxton's 2nd birthday party. While we were there we painted a mural in his room! He has a racecar bed (lucky)so we tied it into the wall, his car winning the race of course. We stayed up til 6am the night before the party finishing it!

Wall Action!

Here are some photos of a mural I painted at The Julian Hotel here in the Mission in San Francisco. They are doing a mural project with local artists. Pretty strait forward, each artist gets a room to attack with creativity(or in layman terms, paint). I painted up room 1, right by the front door!

Bonanza!

Friday I painted a mural in my friend Randal's room. It was a grand time, I love to paint BIG! I used 5 colors, orange, red, green, brown and black. Some of the patterning was inspired by prints of the 1960's. I really liked painting on a surface that has so much texture, you can really get some nice effects with a dry brush.

The opening is on Friday November 6 and its on 24th and Telegraph in Oakland. It's part of Oakland's Art Murmur, a night where all the galleries on Telegraph have openings and its a big party!

Its a Van!

Yeah! Friday I painted up this van, woo hoo! The owner is taking it on a journey, first to the grand canyon and then on a tour around the US. If you see her on the road, be sure to honk several times for good luck.

Murals at Metro Skateshop

Here are some pics of the walls I recently painted at Metro Skateshop in Pleasant Hill, CA. This is the kind of work that I enjoy the most. I have always loved painting large, and doing something with skating is my favorite. To just dive in and start painting(freestyle), thats the best! If you're in the area drop by and check it out.
